Shaniwarwada Fort is an 18th-century fortwithin the town of Pune in Maharashtra. It had been built in 1746. It’sconsidered as one of the most haunted places in India.

In this fort, local people usually hear a sound“KAKA mala VACHWA” (uncle save me) from the Fort within the new moon night. Its considered the spirit till currently utters its last words of his past mortal life. This can be the story of the Shaniwarwada Fort in Pune. On thirty January 1730 Saturday the ceremonial foundation of the Fort was started. Shaniwarwadaname came from Word Saniwar (Saturday).

Behind the Fort’s paranormal activities here’s story of the assassination, greed for power and betrayal. Madhavrao, Vishwasrao, and Narayanrao were 3 sons of Peshwa Nanashaheb. After the death of Peshwa Nanashaheb within the third battle of Panipat, Madhavrao succeeded as Peshwa. Throughout the war of third Panipat, Vishwasrao accepted death. Narayanrao had been just sixteen years old then. He became Peshwa at that terribly young age. Due to his age, his uncle Raghunathrao was in charge of state on behalf of the young nephew.

Raghunathrao’swife Anandibai became terribly jealous. She had the burning need to be the queen of State. With time scenario she was turning into worse than ever. Narayanrao began to manage the power of Raghunathrao and arrested him in his house. Narayanrao had a bitter relationship with Gardi, the hunting tribe. Raghunathrao’swife Anandibai used this and sent a signed letter from Raghunathrao to the chief of Gardi. but in the original letter, Raghunathrao wrote to Gardi chiefSumer Singh Gardi to capture Narayanrao however cruel Anandibai change only one letter and it became the message to kill Narayanrao.

Sumner Singh sent a group of assassins who entered the room of sleeping Narayanrao at midnight removing all securities. Narayanrao woke up and understood he was aiming to be killed. He ran towards Raghunathrao’s chamber and shouted to him “Uncle save me”. However, he was caught by assassins and brutally dead by them. Hacked into pieces and then drop into the river.

The Ghost of the young Peshwa still currently resides in there along with his painful agony. On every new moon night, he cries for saving him.
